10 June- Handling Sexual Misconduct Complaints

Dealing with a complaint of sexual misconduct can complicated, especially so in educational settings where both staff and students may be involved. Failure to handle a complaint promptly and effectively, whilst providing appropriate support to all parties carries significant reputational and financial risks.

In the light of the OfS’ recently published “Statement of Expectations for preventing and addressing harassment and sexual misconduct affecting students in Higher Education”, B3sixty – independent specialists in workplace investigation and dispute resolution – will be running a short interactive and practical workshop for members on how to take a structured and systematic approach to the many and varied issues that arise when a complaint of sexual misconduct is made.

The workshop will led by the Directors of B3sixty who will bring to the workshop experience of dealing with such complaints from legal, Acas and HR perspectives.
