Independent Higher Education exists primarily to help shape the public policy environment in the UK by effectively representing the interests and view of our members to Government, public bodies and other sector organisations.

As the national representative body for independent providers of higher education, professional training and pathways, we take an active role in policy development across a wide range of issues that affect our members: from workforce skills to student visas, and from higher education regulation to industrial strategy.

We make sure that the voice of independent providers in the tertiary education sector is heard and understood by all parties, and work closely with other sector organisations, government and business to find solutions to any challenges our members face.
