The Interior Design School

Offers a comprehensive programme of contemporary interior design studies from one day to one year.

Students are encouraged to draw on their full potential and develop real proficiency in the skills that make a successful interior designer.  It is for people who are seeking a new creative path.  Whether you are determined to become a professional or simply pursuing a personal interest, we have a course that is designed for you.

We offer:  full-time one-year Diploma, Evening classes, intensive Summer courses, Inspiration Days

One-day courses
Taught by professional interior designers, this is a stimulating and practical day that introduces the process of creating a design for an interior – whether you’re interested in designing your own home, or thinking about interior design as a career. These courses run throughout the year.

Evening classes
One night a week, plus one full day Saturday each term, there are 10 and 20 week courses.  These are taught by a combination of lectures and residential design projects developed in the studio.  We have developed a modular system, students can study all four modules or stop after each one.

Diploma course
This full-time course is aimed at students wishing to gain an understanding of Interior Design to change career, continue in further education or for individual property development.

No previous work or creative experience is required. Emphasis is placed on understanding the design process and developing an idea from client brief to presentation. This is taught through practical studio projects that introduce you to spatial and conceptual design issues and the skills that will allow you to develop your creative, technical and analytical abilities.

We are on Lonsdale Road in Queen’s Park, a vibrant street just off Salusbury Road, less than 5 minutes from Queen’s Park tube station.
