The European School of Osteopathy (ESO) is a specialist osteopathic education institution, providing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the UK and across Europe. In the UK, the ESO offers a full-time, four-year undergraduate degree programme, the Integrated Master’s Degree in Osteopathy, which is validated by Buckinghamshire New University.
The ESO is based in Maidstone Kent. We have two sites; our academic site, Boxley House, is set in 17 acres of parkland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The ESO Clinic is our modern teaching clinic facility located in Maidstone itself; it provides hands-on clinical experience for our students who, under supervision, provide around 19,000 osteopathic consultations each year, treating patients of all ages from babies and their mothers through to athletes and the elderly. The ESO also validates post-graduate courses in Animal Osteopathy.

Upon graduation, ESO students are eligible to apply for registration with the General Osteopathic Council. They have all the skills needed to set up their own osteopathic practice, become as an associate in an established practice or join a multi-disciplinary health team, whether that be in private practice or the NHS. ESO graduates are in demand globally thanks to the School’s standing and its reputation for high quality osteopathic training. Links with the international osteopathic community also provide opportunities to teach and practice worldwide.

The ESO welcomes students of all ages and nationalities, with around half of students joining as mature applicants. We are particularly proud of our supportive and inclusive learning environment and students often use words such as ‘inspiring’, ‘family’ and ‘home’ when describing their time with us.
