IHE Reponds to Post-Study Work Visa Annoucement

This week the government announced the introduction of a two year post-study work visa for international students. The new visa route will be available to students graduating at undergraduate level (RQF 6) and students will be able to work, or look for work in any sector, at any level for two years.

IHE Chief Executive, Alex Proudfoot said:

“Independent Higher Education and our members welcome the re-introduction of the two year post-study work visa. This is a really positive step forward into opening the UK up as a top destination for international students building on the International Education Strategy. Many of our members are industry leaders and this post-study work visa will allow international students who have studied at our members to utilise the contacts and skills they have learnt whilst in the UK, contributing to both economic and social wealth of the UK.”
