6 October 2022- IHE Launchpad: Consumer and Student Protection

This workshop is for all staff who work in higher education providers and have responsibility for the management of areas under CMA guidance including: Marketing and Recruitment, Admissions, Academic Quality (course design and delivery) and Complaints and Appeals.

The workshop will cover the following topics:
Understanding the CMA Higher Education Guidance
Updated legal considerations for staff responsible for consumer protection in higher education
Role of OfS in consumer protection
Strategies for applying and managing the CMA Higher Education guidance in recruitment, admissions and student complaints & appeals.

The workshop will also consider the impact of COVID-19 on complying with consumer legislation and CMA HE guidelines for all providers.

Providers registered with OfS are required to ensure they continue to be compliant with the CMA higher education guidance and this event is designed to provide staff with the essential training needed to fulfil this condition.
